RAILWAYS
Knaresborough Railway
Arriving at Knaresborough Train Station will make even the weariest of travellers sit up and pay attention as they emerge from the trees and glide over the viaduct that looks down on the River Nidd. The station must be unique for having a tunnel at one end of the platform, and a 78ft viaduct at the other. Just on the edge of the town centre visitors can enjoy a few minutes’ walk in any direction from the platform to the Market Square, the riverside, the Castle or a range of fantastic cafes and restaurants.
Regular services to Leeds and York make Knaresborough easy to get to from anywhere in the country and just a short hop from Harrogate.
